Most of the time life is amazing and wonderful but sometimes it just sucks!
There are days I consider walking into the woods and never returning. On my retreat a couple weeks ago, the other ladies who joined me felt the same and wanted to walk that same trail never to return to real life. I know that none of us are amiss to this feeling at times. That is normal.
You don’t have to let vulnerability, anxiety or fear rule your life. When you join a pack of women who share your same values you are not alone in this world. You need to acknowledge that people have your back when you think you’re alone in this world even if it feels like you don’t.
Our two-day women’s retreat offered serenity, peace and a quiet private space for us to laugh, cry and nap. It never fails that when a bunch of like-minded women get together in a quiet space, the vulnerability comes out along with the tears of joy as well as frustrations, fears and feelings of inadequacy.
Spending time in quiet spaces in nature has an uncanny ability to allow our senses to let go, and bring out the emotions and thoughts that otherwise get pushed aside by being ‘busy’ in our everyday lives. The environment and the peace of a retreat allows you to reboot and confront your issues that you otherwise don’t deal with.
You realize that when you show your vulnerable side, you actually show strength.
You realize that when you show your vulnerable side, you actually show strength. It takes pure heart and enormous strength to be able to show your weaknesses and voice your fears. You just need to find time to learn this and make these changes.
Have faith that things will work out and don’t be afraid to let go of the things we cannot control. Take control of things that are under your control and you will grow.
Be forgiving of yourself, be brave and move forth with the confidence that you are enough, and always will be. It may not all happen in one day but with a little support and focus your life will take a positive turn and will improve.
If you feel stuck, let me support you and configure a positive mental health map that will help you transition. * If it’s more than an occasional rant, then you might consider counseling with a professional.
